Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
genU’s Commonwealth Home Support Programme helps seniors live independently with tailored in-home and community support services.
Supporting independent living with the Commonwealth Home Support Programme
As you age, certain daily tasks can become more challenging. Our Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) is designed to provide entry-level support services, enabling you to live independently and safely in your own home.
From assisting around the house to facilitating social activities, or even giving you a short break away, our CHSP services can help you live the life you want to lead.
Our CHSP Services include:
- Meals and Food Preparation
- Personal Care
- Nursing Services
- Allied Health services
- Home and Garden maintenance
- Social support
- Respite
Eligibility
To qualify for CHSP services, you should be:
- Aged 65 years or older (50 years or older for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander individuals).
- In need of assistance with daily tasks to continue living independently.
An assessment through My Aged Care will determine your specific needs and eligibility.
If you’re 65 years or older, able to stay at home and need entry-level support services, then CHSP is for you. If you need more help than CHSP can provide, head over to genU’s Home Care Packages.
Service locations
Currently, our CHSP-funded services are available in the Greater Geelong and South-West regions. For residents in South-East Melbourne, we offer social outings to keep you connected with your community.
What's next?
If you think CHSP services could benefit you, the first step is to contact My Aged Care for an assessment. They will evaluate your needs and connect you with suitable service providers.
