Behaviour Support
genU’s Behaviour Support team helps individuals and their networks understand behaviours, promote wellbeing, and enhance quality of life.
Get support to improve your quality of life and stay involved in the things that are important to you
Our Behaviour Support team can work with you, your family and support network to understand what to do when you use your behaviour to communicate.
They work collaboratively to help you, and people around you to be calm and feel safe by developing an individualised plan and program to support you to thrive and reach your goals.
Through assessment, positive behaviour plans, and ongoing support our team can provide you personalised assistance to:
- Improve your quality of life
- Reduce harmful or persistent behaviours of concern
- Remove or minimise the need for the use of regulated restrictive practices.
Our approach to behavioural support
You deserve control
We believe that everyone should be happy, healthy and in control of their own life.
Understanding behaviours
Behaviours of concern are not symptoms to be suppressed but signals that something isn’t going right in someone’s life. Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed.
People do well if they can
People of all ages will thrive if given the appropriate skills, tools, understanding and support.
