Mental health support

genU offers free, accessible mental health support through a telehealth service for individuals facing mild mental health challenges or seeking personal growth.

Free and accessible mental health support

Our mental health support service can help you with support when and where you need it.

The free telehealth service is available to people who are living with, or at risk of, mild mental health conditions. This support is also a great resource for people who feel they are doing well, but who can benefit from assistance in specific areas of their lives.

Our Mental Health Support can help you to:

  • Increase your motivation
  • Deal more positively with change
  • Achieve a better work-life balance
  • Find focus and purpose in retirement
  • Manage burnout from being a carer
  • Deal with challenging family dynamics
  • Build healthy boundaries and relationships
  • Develop helpful parenting strategies.

genU’s low-intensity Mental Health Support is free and available to people aged 16 and over. You do not need a referral from a health professional, you can contact us directly on 1300 558 368 to find out if it’s suitable for your needs.

It is available in Victoria's Great South Coast region, including Warrnambool, Portland, Camperdown, Hamilton and Port Fairy.

We provide this support as part of Step Thru Care services, which brings together a number of organisations working together to provide integrated Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) services. (Please note: NDIS participants are not eligible for Step Thru Care services and will be warmly transferred to a NDIS Provider for support).

Please note: we do not provide crisis or emergency mental health support. If you or someone you know is in crisis or needs immediate support, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue on 1300 224 636. In an emergency call 000.
